You are able to walk fast or slow, pause, walk once or twice, or in a continuous motion. Hold the rod tip down the standard way, about 5 o’clock, or if you are in a small boat or on the bank, 2 o’clock will work just as well. Twitch it gently with your wrist, then release tension immediately. Keep some slack in your line and move the rod tip up and down, making line jump up.
